"Then Elijah said to all the people, 'Come near to me.' So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord which had been torn down. Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, 'The Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God' " (1 Kings 18:30,38-39).

Elijah told his servant to go back seven times before he saw the small cloud bringing rain. We are committed to fervent, sustained intercession "until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field [Carmel] (Isaiah 32:15).

In addition to our Monday night prayer meetings, we have begun early morning prayer gatherings, as well as "prayer clusters" that meet in various neighborhoods all over Mount Carmel. We also welcome intercessors from the nations to join us in prayer in our Elijah Prayer Cave, cut into the deep bedrock upon which our worship center rests (James 5:17-18).
